Properties of a rolling fire curtain
The GSF KPR EI fire curtain is a reliable solution that combines innovation and efficiency, providing protection against the spread of fire, temperature and radiant heat. With advanced design and high-quality materials, our rolling fire curtains are ready for immediate action in the event of an emergency.
The speed and ease of installation make them suitable for both new and existing facilities, providing maximum protection and full compliance with current safety standards.
Advantages of the EI fire curtain
- lightweight and durable design
- compact coat and curtain dimensions
- simple installation
- high aesthetics
Construction of the EI fire curtain
The GSF KPR EI fire curtain is constructed of a flexible coat, a set of guides, a shaft housing, a ballast strip, an electric motor or a fuse lock.
The curtain coat is made of fire-resistant fabric, the elements of which are connected with special fire-resistant threads. The properly sewn side edge of the coat allows for easy movement in the guides. The lower edge of the coat is finished with a ballast strip. The length of the flexible coat is selected so that when fully unrolled, the ballast strip tightly adheres to the threshold surface.
The guides and shaft housing are made of galvanized steel plate.

How a fire curtain works
The GSK KPR EI fire curtain is held in the open position by a tubular motor or a fuse lock.
A fire curtain with a tubular drive (automatic) is lowered when a fire occurs and the signal from the control unit is transmitted to the drive. Thanks to this, a fire-free zone is separated.
A fire curtain with a fuse lock when a fire occurs and reaches a temperature of approx. 74°C, the fuse lock melts, which causes the curtain coat to fall gravitationally.
Application of rolling fire curtains
GSF KPR EI fire curtains are easy to install and can be used both in newly built buildings and in existing buildings, indoors and outdoors, ensuring comfort of use and complete safety. They are used as vertical movable partitions separating passages between fire zones in accordance with current fire regulations.
Thanks to their compact design, they work well wherever there is a limited amount of space needed to install the curtain.
They are successfully installed in industrial facilities, warehouses and public buildings, multi-family residential buildings and other buildings.
