Fire resistance of fixed smoke curtains
Our offer includes fixed smoke curtains in various fire resistance classes. Fire resistance class D means that the curtain at temperatures up to 600°C can withstand fire for 60, 120 or 160 minutes, respectively. Resistance class DH means that the smoke curtain has a fire resistance of 60 minutes at a temperature of approx. 1000°C in accordance with the standard heating curve.

Properties of smoke curtains
Smoke curtains are designed for use in buildings as a separation of smoke zones. The main tasks of smoke curtains are:
- creating a smoke tank by collecting and reducing the transport of smoke,
- directing the smoke in a predetermined direction,
- preventing or delaying the influx of smoke into other zones or air voids.
Due to their design, smoke curtains can be combined in a modular way, which allows you to create protection with unlimited dimensions.
The wide application of curtains allows them to be installed in both public buildings, commercial and industrial buildings.

Construction of a fixed smoke curtain
The GSF KDS fixed smoke curtain is made of a flexible curtain coat, a mounting elements and a ballast strip.
The curtain coat is made of high-quality fabric, the elements of which are connected with special non-flammable threads. The lower edge of the coat is finished with a ballast strip, which weighs down the curtain and ensures its stability. The upper edge of the coat is attached with screws.

GSF KDS fixed smoke curtains are permanently installed and do not change their position - they are ready for operation at any time.
Application of fixed smoke curtains
Fixed smoke curtains are most often used in buildings where there are a large number of people. These are public buildings, commercial buildings, as well as production and storage halls and underground garages. Curtains play a key role in preventing the spread of smoke during a fire, enabling the evacuation of people and rescue operations.
Smoke curtains reduce material losses and increase safety inside buildings.
